Symens Brothers Recognized for 50th Year Exhibiting Bulls at NWSS
The National Western Stock Show symbolizes many attributes of the American West culture. As this year’s show marks the 119th anniversary, the Limousin breed recognizes and congratulates John Symens of Symens Brothers of Amherst, South Dakota, for exhibiting bulls in the pen and carload shows for the last 50 years.
With 50 trips to Denver under his belt, it is safe to say John has seen it all — sunny, 60 degree days to snow-covered pens and freezing temperatures. The Symens Brothers pen has become a destination for many who visit the National Western Stock Show year-in and year-out.
The Symens program truly embodies what the National Western stands for — integrity, determination, persistence and commitment. Though the family has found much success hanging many purple banners during their days in Denver each year, they continuously strive for the betterment of the breed and industry as a whole. They represent the beef cattle industry with integrity, conviction and purpose.
On the anniversary of their 50th year in the Denver Yards, Symens Brothers added yet another banner to their collection with the Reserve Champion Limousin Pen at the 2025 National Western Stock Show.
Thank you for your commitment to the Limousin breed and the National Western Stock Show. We congratulate you on achieving this impressive milestone!
