Tucker Parkinson Named 2023 NALF Herdsman Of The Year
Accepting the award on Tucker’s behalf from NALJA Board Member Boone Begert (third from right) were his parents, Jonny and Amber Parkinson; brother, Colt Parkinson; and grandparents, Paula and Bruce Lawrence.
The Limousin breed lost one of its brightest shining young stars October 1, 2023. Tucker was a role model to both young and old and the very definition of a herdsman and friend everyone wanted. He was kind, loyal and genuinely cared for others. Many friends refer to him as the most kindhearted young adult they know. He never shied away from doing the hard work or standing up for someone in need.
Tucker was not afraid to try new things and always gave 100%. He loved many things including football, basketball, track and his newest venture, golf, but nothing made him as happy as being in the barn and the pasture working with his show string or studying new genetics to incorporate into his herd. Tucker’s work ethic was evident in all his activities.
