2023 Honorary NALJA Member – ATAK Limousin

This year’s honorary NALJA member, or members, was awarded to a family who is certainly no stranger to the Limousin breed. Year after year, these gracious and good-hearted people answer the phone when a NALJA board member calls, and they are always willing to help out in any way they can, whether it’s a sponsorship, some physical help or even a kind word to cheer somebody up. It doesn’t matter whether junior nationals is 1, or 1,000 miles from home, you can bet they’ll be there, and the best part is that they show up ready to greet everyone with a smile.

“I appreciate the strong Limousin roots these folks come with and am glad there are still families who value being loyal breeders and show the importance of the people within this great breed before they worry about all the small things. Thank you will never be enough to show my gratitude, especially to the grandpa of this family, for being one of the reasons my family continued to show Limousin cattle,” stated Riley Smith, 2022-2023 NALJA treasurer.
